Another great article from Meet Market Adventures, view more great articles and tips for singles.

I can't ski! I could get killed or at the very best break a leg!

Balderdash. What you could do is learn to ski at excellent beginner ski schools, go on all sorts of non-skiing activities, meet new people and even just maybe take home a long distance (or short distance) romance! Or, who knows, actually fall in love with skiing itself.

You can ski? Well, what are you waiting for? A single's ski vacation is the very thing this winter to get away from the ho-hum winter grayness and enjoy some fresh air and sunshine. Go alone and plan your own itinerary, or go on one of the many professional tour groups. You could also join a single's club that has skiing as its focus so you can pick the level of skiing and socializing you desire.

Single's ski vacations aren't just for skiing. They are for meeting new friends, searching for playful or serious romance, kicking free of daily obligations, and just plain having a great time just for you.

Nothing heats up a cold night like a little après ski romance. Shake your (ski) booties: fall in love with skiing, and maybe another skier.

Singles skiing holidays can be the ideal way to meet that special someone. Wonderful scenery, fluffy snowflakes and cozy fireplaces, romantic Alpine cafés and bars, and a chance to show off your skiing skills – what more do you need?! Summer isn't the only time to vacation. There are lots of breathtaking awesome resorts in the United States, Canada, and overseas to choose from.

The main importance is to define what you'd really like to do on a single's ski vacation besides hitting the easy, safe slopes with others who are as adventurous as you are. Pick an area on your own or choose a vacation package that will meet your getaway needs.

You need help getting started? Here are some great ideas. You can't ask for better skiing and nightlife. You'll find more than 20 bars in Whistler village, BC, Canada, and they're packed Monday through Sunday with singles."

Just an hour's drive from New York City, Mountain Creek has great lift-ticket rates. It attracts a younger, urban crowd and has a lively nightlife. It's great for a cheap weekend ski trip.

At Winter Park in Vail CO, fenced-off areas protect beginners from speed demons who cut through to the chairlifts. The Mary Jane and Vasquez Ridge areas offer serious moguls and glade skiing, while the huge Parsenn Bowl allows even novices to enjoy the exhilaration of skiing the scenery-filled top of a mountain. You can't beat the skiing or the nightlife.

The skiing near Salt Lake City, Utah, is so fabulous that the area was chosen to host the 2002 Winter Olympics. While nightlife elsewhere in Utah may be dull, at Park City Ski Resort the letters "PC" are code for "party central." An old silver mining town, Park City has been updated with a new mine theme park.

Only a five-hour drive from New York City and three hours from Boston, Killington Ski Resort is equal parts limitless skiing, with its knee-bruising Outer Limits mogul trail, and partying.

Another single's ski vacation for après ski is Lake Tahoe. Lake Tahoe's tantalizing terrain is only minutes from the casinos and shows. Many skiers play the slot machines while waiting for a shuttle to Heavenly or Squaw Valley, just up the road. Non-skiers can sail Tahoe's lake cruises or visit antique car and Wild West museums.

So let's get you out of the winter gray doldrums and into some fun with a wonderful singles ski vacation!
