RESERVATIONS AND PAYMENTS
Rates listed on this website are in US funds, per person, double occupancy, unless noted otherwise.
Note: A holiday supplement will be assessed on New Years Sailings.
Payments Made by Check must be drawn on a US bank in US funds.
Cruise Deposit - A cruise deposit of $250 per person is required to protect your cruise rate from increases and to guarantee your cruise reservation. Deposits must be received within 3 days of booking. Payments may be made by phone when charged to VISA, MasterCard, Discover, Diners Club, American Express or Carte Blanche.
Air Deposit - An Air Deposit of $100 per person is required to confirm your airline reservation. Air deposit will be payable to FareShare, Inc. by charge or check. Air fares will not be guaranteed until air and cruise are paid in full.
Final Payment - Final Payment is due no later than 60 days prior to sailing or reservation will be canceled and deposit forfeited. All bookings made within 60 days of sailing require immediate payment in full. For all bookings made within 30 days of sailing, a $25 administrative fee will be imposed for expedited document delivery. Checks will not be accepted for payment within 30 days of sailing.
Cruise Cancellations - All cancellations must be made in writing. To receive a cash refund (less $45.00 per person penalty) cruise cancellations must be received by Windjammer Barefoot Cruises, Ltd., no later than 60 days prior to sailing date. Cancellations made between 30 and 59 days prior to sailing will be refunded in the form of a Cruise Credit Certificate (less $45.00 per person penalty). Cruise credits are valid for a period of two years. Cancellations received within 29 days of sailing are non-refundable. Protect your investment. We strongly suggest purchasing trip cancellation insurance.
Air Cancellations - A $75 per person fee will be assessed for cancellation. The balance will be refunded in the same form as payment was received. Partially used tickets are not refundable.
Single Occupancy - We welcome singles and can arrange for you to share a cabin. If available, individuals sailing alone who prefer a cabin to themselves will be charged 175% of the normal per person rate. (Black out dates and restrictions apply) Single occupancy on Specialty Cruises will be charged 200% of the normal single person rate.
Children - Children under 12 years of age, sharing a cabin with two adults will be charged 50% of the adult fare. No children under 6 years of age will be allowed. Children 18 and under must be accompanied by an adult. If you are traveling with a child and you are not their parent or legal guardian, you must have a notarized letter of authorization from their parents or legal guardians. Documentation Requirements - Don't forget the required ID or you'll be left high and dry! If traveling on passport, make sure that it has not expired. If traveling with a birth certificate, it must be government issued and accompanied by government issued, photo ID. If the names on your birth certificate and ID do not match, support documents are required. Hospital issued and photocopied birth certificates are NOT valid for travel on board . Identification documents must be surrendered to the purser upon boarding and will be held until the end of the cruise. Boarding will be REFUSED to passengers with incorrect identification. Passengers who are not U.S. or Canadian citizens may need a visa, check with your local embassy or consulate. Valid Passports are Required on select itineraries. Advanced or Delayed Sailings/Itinerary Changes
Windjammer has the right to cancel, advance, postpone or substitute any scheduled sailings, itinerary or port-of-call without notice. Windjammer may, but is not obligated to, substitute another vessel for sailing and cannot be liable for loss to passengers by reason of such cancellation, advancement, postponement or substitution. The Captain’s judgement on any action or inaction is considered final. Reservations are subject to change in the event of a full ship charter.
Responsibility - Windjammer Barefoot Cruises, Ltd. acts as the general sales agent for the ship owners and does not own, operate and/or control the ships or enter into the contracts of carriage or act as the principal on the passage contracts or passage tickets. Actions of independent contractors such as airlines, tour operators and ground transporters are not the responsibility of Windjammer. Windjammer also denies any responsibility or liability for late arrivals or for any illness, injury, damage, loss of cruise time or other irregularities resulting therefrom. Windjammer’s responsibilities do not extend beyond the vessels. Passengers will be required to complete statements of indemnification and proficiency levels covering dive and watersport activities and carry all necessary health certificates, dive logbook and diver certification. Windjammer reserves the right to refuse passage to anyone when in Windjammer’s judgement, it would constitute a risk to his or her well being or that of other passengers.
Medical Condition/Physical Disability - Any dietary requirements, medical condition, or physical disability must be reported to Windjammer when a reservation is made. The ship owners, their employees and agents reserve the right to refuse or revoke passage to anyone who is, in their sole judgement, in such physical or mental condition as to be unfit for travel, or who may require care and attention beyond which the ship owners or their employees can provide.
Any complication due to a pregnancy that may arise or occur during a cruise will not be the responsibility or the liability of the ship owners, their employees or agents.
Tours/Optional Excursions - Tours/excursions are optional and not included in the cruise fare. Prior to participating in any tour/excursion all passengers must sign a liability release. Some tours are strenuous and participants must be in good physical condition. Participants must have proper attire to participate in tours, i.e. hiking shoes, sneakers (no slick bottom shoes or sandals), sunscreen, etc. Tour operators act as independent contractors and any claim for injury or dissatisfaction must be addressed to the tour operator directly.
Smoking - is allowed in open air areas only. Absolutely NO SMOKING BELOW DECKS. This is strictly enforced for your safety and comfort.
Open Liquor - Due to recent changes in customs regulations and liability restrictions, we are forced to prohibit opened personal liquor bottles in cabins. This policy will be strictly enforced.
In addition to the above conditions, passengers are also subject to Terms and Conditions as outlined on the Boarding Pass and Final Confirmation.
