True Free Online Dating Sites Differer Greatly from Free Trial Offers

Free online dating can be an effective way for singles to successfully find a compatible partner. However, finding these sites will be a little tricky if you are new to the online dating scene. Let us take a look at the different membership models of these dating sites so that you can get a better idea of how to correctly filter out the truly free sites from those that just offer a free trial;

Before you begin your search for the perfect free online dating site, it is crucial to keep in mind that most of these sites use the “paid to use” model. Because of this, you will find yourself becoming very frustrated as you filter out the so-called “free” sites from the truly free dating sites.

The reason for this is because many of the “paid to use” online dating sites will offer a free trial membership as a way to hook a potential prospect, thus finally turning them into paid users. In order for these sites to promote their free trial offers, they will use the word “free” in their ads as a way to lure prospects like yourself to their sites.

This isn’t a problem if they warn you before hand that you are joining a free trial. However, it certainly does become a problem if a site promises you a free membership when in fact it is not. This can be very frustrating because you find yourself wasting a lot of time filling out online forms only to find out that in order to enjoy the full features of these online dating sites, you would need to finally pay.

Okay, so if you were to join a free trial membership instead of a truly free membership, what would be the difference?

To answer this question, it is important that you think of a truly free membership model as having the same benefits and features as that of a paid membership model. The only difference between these two membership models is that the free membership will never expire, whereas the paid membership will finally expire if you stop paying.

When joining a free trial, you are usually allowed to use all the features that paid members have access to, but only for a limited time, usually around 4 to 14 days. Once your trial ends, you will then be forced to either switch over to the paid membership model or to cancel.

There is another extra so-called “free model” that can be quite sneaky. Once you sign up for this sneaky membership model, you soon find out that your current membership is riddled with limitations. Usually, the only thing that you are able to do is create a profile and browse other members ads. However, you won’t be able to use the site’s instant chat system, nor will you be able to reply to any messages you might have received by other members. The only way that you will be able to enjoy all of these features is by finally paying for it. So as you can see, even though your so-called “free” membership never expires, you might as well cancel it because the current membership is actually useless unless you pay for it.

As I mentioned before, I don’t have a problem with online dating sites that charge singles to use their services. After all, these are legitimate businesses that have expenses. However, what ticks me off is how some of these online dating sites go about promoting their services.

The best way to save yourself from unnecessary frustration is by taking your time to read the fine print on these sites. In addition, take a step back and look objectively at their homepage. A truly free online dating site will be very direct in promoting every feature and benefit that is included free. They will even outright tell you that your membership will be free forever and never expire. If you see these benefits and features written out in bold, then you have most likely found a truly free online dating site.

Sites that offer a free trial usually function in the same way. Their information will be clearly written on the front page. The trickier sites are those that are very vague in how they lay out their content for you to read. They will tell you what their features and benefits are, but they don’t use the word free anywhere except to tell you to sign up for free. When you see sites like this, it is important that you slow down and really look at the fine print.

Following these few guidelines will save you a lot of frustration until you finally locate the right free online dating site to help you find the partner of your dreams.

Until Next Time,
