Here’s some speed dating advice for your men out there, and having been to a few speed date events lately, I can honestly say that some of you need it. You have to realize that this is a great way to meet women, and an efficient way at that. The last thing you want to do is blow this opportunity. So sit back and take notes, and heed this speed dating advice.

First, you need to remember that you must absolutely remember that you are going on dates. Some of the best speed dating advice you may ever get is that even though you are going to be chatting up ten to twenty women in an evening, each individual meeting is a date in and of itself. While you may find it best to think of it as a trial, a feeling of the water or whatever, if you don’t treat it with the same respect you treat dates, you’re doomed. That means dress for it, look good and be on your best behavior.

When you tackle each individual date, remember to be yourself. That doesn’t mean to lose all self control and any sense of confidence—which you may be inclined to do, should this be your normal personality. It means that you should hold onto your ideas and principles while projecting the kind of confidence that women admire.

Then, should the women not be lining up at the end of the evening to drag you off to the promised land, don’t worry about it. You may only make a couple connections, and you might not make any. Here lies the big problem with speed dating, which is that while you stand to meet many women in an evening, you can also get rejected by many of them in one night too. Don’t let that get you down, it’s just the way things are. It’s really just a statistical normality disguising itself as a constant occurrence because it’s all happening at once.
