- About me
- My friends would describe me as: Funny, Kind, Intelligent, Sensitive, Thoughtful and Understanding.
I think that I am funny, and enjoy making people laugh more than anything else in life.
Things I love to do in the summer: coffee on an outdoor patio, going on a day trip, playing tennis, riding my bike, riding my motorcycle(which I just bought),walking my dog, watching an outdoor concert, swimming.
I enjoy most music, with the exception being opera.
I am learning how to salsa dance.
I just started my own business, which allows me to meet new people and be outside in the nice weather.
I think I am comfortable financially, but believe that time is an under valued commodity in the world today.
In my experience, money comes and money goes.
Money is relatively easy to get more of, whereas once time is gone, its gone.
What is the worth of money and possessions, if you have no time to enjoy them.
I was so busy at one point in my life that I never had time to stop and consider if this was really the life I wanted to live. When I did, I saw that I was not really living the life I wanted but was just going through life almost on autopilot.
I made fundamental changes in my life, so that I could start living life I truly wanted.
Here are a couple of things about relationships that I've heard over the years that I have never forgotten.
1. That people either add to your enjoyment of life or they take away from your enjoyment of life.
Some people have to be in a relationship because they cannot be alone.
I am not one of those people.
2. You feel good about yourself when you are with that person.
I want a woman in my life who makes me feel good about myself.
Maybe it is just me, but I think most people want someone to love them for exactly who they are, and not who the other person thinks they should be.
In the movie "As Good As It Gets" Jack Nicholson says to Helen Hunt,
"You make me want to be a better man."
I want someone who brings out the best in me and I bring out the best in them.
I think that the journey of life is about growing mentally, physically and spiritually into the best possible person you can be.
When I say spiritually I did not mean that I am religious.
Finally I think a sense of humor is a key part of a relationship.
Life has its good days and its bad days, and if you cannot laugh when you have a bad day, then you might end up having more bad days than you had originally planned.
Thanks for reading my profile.
