About me

I was in a relationship with someone who had no motivation to go out and do things. What kind of relationship can you have when one of you never wants to go out. When I hit 30 I decided not to grow up anymore. I am mature enough to take responsibility for all my actions. I am not the type of person to live at home in my parents basement. I have ambition. I am out almost every weekend doing one activity or another.

I love to spend time up at the cottage, weather it be swimming, sailing or just sitting on the beach watching the sunset, or staring at the stars, weather it be in silence or carrying on a stimulating conversation with the person that I am with. Yes I know it sounds like all the same crap that everyone else writes, but my cottage is on Sturgeon lake.

I have a dry sense of humour ~ some people call it sick or sarcastic! I enjoy scuba diving, curling, (playing, not watching) playing pool, watching movies, rollercoasters and skiing. There is nothing like a great day at Wonderland, or fresh layer of powder on the slopes. I always enjoy trying new things. I am spontaneous and will try almost anything once!

Update:

The people that I have met have told me a few things. One, that first glance I seem arrogant, and then said they were wrong and I am actually just confident. They have said that I can be pretty shy at first. I am working on that one. They also asked if I ever stop smiling. I have also been told my picture doesn't do me justice, something about not being able to show my nature and that I look young. I swear all the pictures are less than a year old.

Second. I prefer to talk to someone who can carry on a conversation. One line reply's make it feel like 20 questions. If you don't type conversations well, just say that you would prefer to talk on the phone, or meet at a coffee shop and talk in person.

Third. Meeting people is not the hard part. I will admit on dating sites it takes a lot more work than in person. In person though you have to talk to many people to try to find the ones with similar goals in life. On here it takes a while sending out emails, waiting for responses, then emails back and forth. When it comes time to meet I just haven't found the spark. Lots of amazing people, just no spark. For those who have never felt the spark, it makes a big difference. You can tell if the spark is there within the first half hour. It is all about the complete interaction of mind body and spirit of the 2 people.

What I'm looking for

Someone who enjoys going out every weekend and doing something, not just sitting on the couch or computer all day. Some one who could actually go out for the day and not take their cell phone with them. All relationships must start with honesty, and friendship. A long lasting relationship would be great if the chemistry is there. I am looking for someone who can make laugh I am looking for a woman who can put up with some change in their life.If everything stays the same you just fall into a rut. Trust is a very big deal for me, but trust must be earned as well. I am looking for someone who shares some of the same interests as me, including skiing, swimming, sailing, and catch a movie. Someone who can communicate and carry on a conversation. I would like someone who can make me smile and just feel great about being myself.
