About me
“Love is our true destiny. We do not find the meaning of life by ourselves alone - we find it with another.”
Thomas Merton

I am the guy who likes to make people laugh, make them feel comfortable, feel at ease and welcome. However, I am not the life of the party, as I prefer to fly under the radar and not be too noticeable. I guess maybe that is why I am the guy people like to have around - will be quick to be invited back - I'm not needy, so people tend to like me for who I am.

I am not the bad boy your Mother warned you about...I am the good boy your Mother wants you to be with...the nice guy who also knows when it is the right time to be naughty...imagination and thoughtfulness leads to all you could desire...what turns me on is knowing that you are...can you imagine being with the good and proper pretty boy at the family Christmas dinner when he whispers sweet and naughty things in to your ear?

I like the outdoors with the fresh air and scenery that comes with it. I am writing this while at a cottage in Muskoka, but also find my mind wandering to the beauty of the Canadian Rockies, or the casual life of the east coast. I am a very proud Canadian, but with both parents being from Switzerland, there is a big European side to me. That is why I am often thinking of the Swiss Alps and long to spend more time there, with side trips to Tuscany, the French Riviera, and wherever you would like to join me.

I could kiss for hours, and foreplay does not have to necessarily lead to more...at least not today. Holding your hand would be a pleasure, making you feel special a desire - while your Birthday will always be remembered and important, along with Christmas, I am not big on gifts being given just simply because tradition dictates it. You will get chocolate on Valentine's Day as a gag, but more importantly some things will come to you on any given day just because I feel like it. Special memories can be created on any day of the year...

I have a home in Muskoka, Florida and Switzerland, but I don't own any of them...when you are well liked, people give you the keys to their places with the suggestion to use them whenever you like and with whomever you like. I am very fortunate to have such great family and friends...and you know what? I think they feel fortunate to have me too.

I have a real joie de vivre at this stage of life, and have always tried to live as stress free as possible, leading to many a time where I simply say, "c'est la vie", or "shit happens". Also the reason I will probably retire very soon so I can enjoy more of life...

I guess to put things in a simple way, I don't get excited about a new shopping mall, Disney World or Las Vegas, but do feel a calmness when I remember dining in a narrow alleyway in St. Tropez, gazing at the incredibly majestic view of Mt. Robson, or paddling the calm waters of Lake Joseph in the early morning.

I have entered what I would call the good years of life, with hopefully many good ones still ahead - so I think it may be time to share them with someone who is at least somewhat like minded. I am not a world traveller, but love to spend time on both sides of the Atlantic...so come join me for a cappuccino while watching the sunrise in Muskoka, a bottle of Beaujolais on the Côte D'Azur , perhaps some Sangria while watching the sunset on the Gulf Coast of Florida, or how about Prosecco with a view of the moon lit Swiss Alps?

Mark...
