- Hi everyone! I hope all is well. Welcome to my profile. I would like to start off w/ a riddle...here goes: What gift enriches the receiver w/o diminishing the giver? What gift can be given in a flash, but can have an impact that lasts forever? What gift is of no earthly value until it is given away? What gift is such that no one is so poor that he or she cannot share it, & no one is so rich that he or she doesn't have a need for the gift? The answer is a SMILE!
A little about myself. I was born & raised in Jackson Heights/ Queens, NY...just minutes away from LaGuirdia Airport. I am a VERY proud son of VERY hard-working immigrants. They have worked EXTREMELY hard from the very second they stepped foot into this country. I pray every day to God & my Dad. (My Dad is w/ God right now) The first thing I thank God for is the wonderful family He has blessed me w/. I know that I won the lottery w/ them in my life. I am single, never married, no kids. I am easygoing, humble, respectful, religious, and a practicing Catholic. I attend church EVERY SINGLE Holy Day of Obligation along w/ Sundays. I am old-fashioned & am not into the bar scenes, but, I love to joke around & have a good time. I am straightforward, strong willed, and therefore I don't smoke at all, nor drink. I believe in treating others as I like to be treated; with kindness, courtesy, consideration, honesty, respect, etc. I also teach baseball to kids at a baseball camp. This experience has also given me a taste of parenthood.
I don't believe in coincidence. I believe that everything happens for a reason. I know that anything good that happens to me is God & my Dad watching over me. I can also find the proverbial Silver Lining to any cloud. I believe the glass is always half full. Whenever something that I want doesn't happen, I know it is for the best & there is something else out there better that my Dad wanted me to see/witness. I also look at it as a possible lesson of the day. I'm fun to be with and I love to laugh and I am open to anything that is fun to do with someone special. I'm baggage and drama free. I love good conversations & a sense of humor. I am a good talker and listener. When the chemistry is right it is the best feeling to be part of great conversation. Thank you for your valued time...Take care & God bless...Peter.
- What I'm looking for
- Someone who can solve riddles! Just kidding ;-) Seriously, I would like to start off as friends & see where it leads.
But, as far as marriage is concerned, I did learn the true meaning of a successful marriage when I saw my parents. Through thick & thin, from the struggles of when they first arrived into the US till my Dad's cancer, they were always there for each other. When my Dad had cancer, my Mom was always w/ him 24 hrs a day/ 7 days a week. My Dad left this world a lucky man. I can only dream of being as lucky as he was. They also provided my brother & I w/ a catholic education from grade-high school. So, as far as marriage is concerned, that is what I want in a wife, someone who will honor & take marriage vows seriously & be my best friend at the sametime. I am also looking forward to providing our kids w/ all the advantages that my brother & I were EXTREMELY fortunate enough to have been blessed w/ from our parents. Anyone else, "Friendships only" relationships are also welcomed here...maybe we can even help each other find that special someone...who knows.
