I agree. When I first attended an event, I brought a friend along with me. Then I realized that I left knowing the same person. Since then, I have attended 2 other events solo. It is true, most people attend alone and it makes it so much easier to make new friends that way. I am having a blast on these events. It is set up so that you feel comfortable and the focus is on the actual event itself which takes the pressure off of yourself.
