Sea vs. river kayaking-newbie D/T Ottawa

Hey fellow MMAers!

I\'m thinking of doing the river expedition trip next Sat. at Grenville-sur-la-Rouge. Can someone tell me the difference between river vs sea kayaking? Are the kayaks for one or two people, and how many do the standard river rafts hold?

Also, looking for partners (male or female) that would like to take part in a friendly tennis match, dance lessons (female preferred), hiking, running, canoeing, biking, etc.
