Water Rafting Weekend in Ottawa - Need Campint Tips

Hi,
I'm going to the water rafting event in Ottawa in July and oh yes I'm excited. My very first time. Not only to go water rafting but camping as well! Can anyone tell me what's type of sleeping tent and bag should I get to survive this all weekend adventure? Any tips on what to bring and what not to do would be greatly appreciated. I have no clue at all but oh yes, I am excited! Looking forward to hearing from anyone with good tips.
