Q. What is the best way to meet single men and women in my city?

Q. What if there are no singles events in the city I live in?

A. All members are welcome to register and participate in ANY of our events, in any city, including adventure travel holiday vacations and cruises for singles. This is a great way to get out when moving to a new city, traveling for business or vacation, or just for adventure!

Q. How is Meet Market Adventures different from other online dating websites?

A. What makes Meet Market Adventures unique is that it is not a dating website. We don’t put pressure on singles to meet “the one” or fall in love. We provide opportunities for singles to enjoy life to the fullest by connecting with other singles through online social networking, singles events, adventure and world travel, and even weekend getaways. Q. What are the members like?

A. Our single women and men range are typically between ages 25 and 50 years of age. They come from all backgrounds and have a wide variety of interests. Our members are positive, active, adventurous singles who don’t often play as hard as they work…but when they do, they like to take full advantage of opportunities to get out there and have fun!

Q. How do your local singles events work, how intimidating is it to show up alone?

A. Never fear! Almost all of our singles come to the local singles events alone. We always have a coordinator to get the ball rolling and break the ice and help you get started in making new friends who have similar interests. If you get a date, make a love connection, or match, well…that’s a bonus!

Q. How does local event carpooling work?

A. The week of a local event we call all registered members, and check to see who can offer a ride, and who needs a ride. In the rare situation where we are unable to arrange carpooling (less than 1 percent of the time) we will offer a full in-house credit that can be used towards the next event or any other events of your choice.

Q. What if it rains on the day of an outdoor event?

A. All Meet Market Adventures events have a rain or shine policy. However, if we do have a cancellation due to weather, we offer you a full in-house credit, valid for up to one full year, that can be used towards any other event(s) you choose.

Q. Once I sign up for a local singles event, what do I do?

A. When you register for an event you have the choice of a phone call or email confirmation. You will receive that confirmation the week of the event, with all the updated details. No “ticket” or receipt is necessary. Your name is placed on our event guest list. So, all you have to do is show up, mention your name, and have a great time!

Q. What is the age of your members?

A. Event though the majority of our 80,000+ members are between late 20's to 50's. On any given adventure or local singles event you will see a wide range of ages. Keep in mind though, age is only a number with the Meet Market Adventures crowd. Every member is out to meet new people, get active and have fun!

Q. How much does membership cost?

A. Membership is Free! There are no membership or sign up fees as we believe in a "pay as you play" philosophy. So, you only pay for the local events, getaways, adventures and travel you choose to participate in.

Q. How come you do not organize events with half men and half women?

A. Meet Market Adventures is not a dating service and our events run on a first come first serve basis. So, attendance at local events will be based on interest. So, some events may have more single men and some may have more single women. Most members come out to have fun and meet other people, so gender doesn’t matter. We’re delighted when members meet that “special someone”. However, even if you don’t meet the love of your life, at least you’ve gotten out there, tried something new and had a terrific time!

Q. Why do your local singles events sell out so fast?

A. We are excited to see so many singles out there! Sold out events have become increasingly the norm because the word is out and our membership is growing! If you are finding it difficult to register for a particular event, Here are some tips:

• Sign up well in advance, many of our events, cruises and travel adventures sell out quickly.
• We do create waiting lists for previously sold out adventures. If there is a lot of demand for a particular event, we will move the people on the waiting list over to a new date which fills up the event right away. So, if there’s something you want to do, be sure to request to be put on the waiting list!

Q. What is your cancellation Policy for local singles events and travel?

A. Because of the volume of events, activities and travel we plan and coordinate on a regular basis, All sales are final and no refunds will be issued. If you must cancel, be sure to follow the instructions in the cancellation policy detailed in the event description. A credit will be issued for the full amount that can be applied towards a future singles event.

Q. How many singles come to the events alone or travel solo?

A. Over 95% of our members come alone to our local singles events and travel tours. Your first time out to one of our events, excursions or travel adventures can be intimidating. Rest assured, we have the best staff and members in the industry who will make you feel comfortable right from the beginning. And, remember, almost everyone else there is traveling solo too!
