Join Meet Market Adventures and other adventurous singles to have these and more questions answered as we spend time in one of Canada’s only Craft Sake distilleries.

We will be introduced to three Granville Island Osake Craft Sakes - Osake Junmai Nama, Osake Junmai Nama Nigori and Osake Junmai Nama Genshu all made on the premises by owner and Master Sake Maker Masa Shiroki. As we taste these varied sakes we will learn to distinguish the different characteristics of each one and how it can be served with a variety of foods to bring out its unique subtleties. Unlike traditional sake making in Japan which only occurs during the cooler months, Masa Shiroki makes his varieties of sake on an ongoing seasonal basis. This ensures the freshest sake is always available.

So whether you enjoy sake with your sushi on a regular basis or would like to learn more about the popular Japanese spirit, this event is yours for the tasting!
