Moderate Hike

Join Meet Market Adventures and other single outdoor enthusiasts, for a fun-filled day of hiking around Surprise Lake. We follow a series of trails known for its numerous lakes and impressive views. This hike is notable for some steep and rocky sections that provide spectacular views. There is a wide variety of fascinating vegetation and terrain along our loop route. We will hike around secluded Surprise Lake, stopping for lunch at the pristine lakeshore.

The price includes: round trip transportation, park admission, guides, prizes and taxes.

BRING: Your lunch, plenty of water, backpack/day pack.

Wear: Weather-appropriate athletic clothing, comfortable athletic pants (not jeans), hiking boots (or athletic shoes) as well as an extra pair of socks. As we may encounter wet trails, we strongly recommend HIKING BOOTS, or trail runners, not tennis shoes.

DEPARTURE: Our passenger vans depart from the NE corner of 73rd St.& Broadway in front of Apple Bank; (Subways to 72nd St.: 1, 2, 3, 9). Return to same location. Departure time varies depending on the trip. (If you drive your car to our departure point, on-street and reasonably priced garage parking are available nearby.)
