Join Meet Market Adventures and other single outdoor enthusiasts, for a fun-filled day of hiking around Canopus Lake. We follow the Appalachian Trail for 5 miles as it winds through the forest in this beautiful state park. The path is rocky, but not too steep. We will clamber up an outcrop to our lunch spot: a high point with a splendid vista overlooking all of Canopus Lake. We'll see gliding birds of prey and birches swaying on the peak. We will stop for lunch at the pristine lakeshore. The price includes: round trip transportation, park admission, guides, prizes and taxes.

BRING: Your lunch and plenty of water.

WEAR: Hiking boots/shoes, weather-appropriate clothing, sunscreen.

DEPARTURE: Our passenger vans depart from the NE corner of 73rd St.& Broadway ? meet in front of Apple Bank; (Subways to 72nd St.: 1, 2, 3, 9). Return to same location. If you drive your car to our departure point, on-street and reasonably priced garage parking are available nearby.
