Join Meet Market Adventures and other single photo buffs as we explore Stanley Park - one of Vancouver’s parkland treasures, through the lens of our cameras. By spending an afternoon in such a tranquil setting and through the passion for nature photography from our instructor, we’ll be inspired to discover the hidden talent buried in all of us.

As we walk through Stanley Park we’ll learn how to get down and dirty to get that perfect shot. Our instructor will share her experiences and take us to the most picturesque spots, so we can feel inspired by the natural beauty of the old growth cedar and hemlock forests, beautiful botanical gardens, historical totem poles and of course the rolling waves along the seawall while we learn to take great nature photographs.

Whether you have a digital or manual camera we’ll learn tricks that no photographer should be without such as lighting, shutter speeds, f-stops and most importantly composition. So regardless if you’re a seasoned photographer or just getting to know your camera, you will find this adventure informative, light hearted and a visual feast for the soul.

What to bring: Please dress for the weather as this is a rain or shine event. Wear comfortable shoes with sturdy soles and bring your camera of course!

Directions:  We are going to meet on the corner of Denman St and Georgia St at the benches! 

* Please note: Those with digital SLR cameras will find the instruction more beneficial, however if you have a “point and shoot” model you will still learn and enjoy this event.

* When you purchase an event online or by phone, your name will be on a Guest List at the door and you will receive a confirmation by phone or email from MMA the week of the event.
