The art to mosaic technique is in setting small pieces – known as tesserae - which are made of tile, glass and stone in a base of plaster or concrete. Often very intricate and detailed, mosaic is usually used to embellish walls, ceilings and floors. This class will provide you with all the basics to mosaic almost anything.
We will start the afternoon off by learning the fundamentals of mosaic creation through experimentation with colour, shape and overall design. After we have explored our options and settled on a design, we will be ready to make our own 10" mosaic stepping-stone. You can personalize this to be used in your garden or yard, or make it as a special gift for a housewarming or your favourite gardener so every time they see it they’re reminded of you.

DRIVING & PARKING INSTRUCTIONS
It is NOT possible to park Mon-Fri between 4-6pm on Gerrard east of Woodbine. We do have a parking space beside the store. Please only park in the one allotted to Mosaic Beach. There is lots of parking at other times.
Driving from the west end? We are easily accessible from the Gardiner Expressway. Follow it to the eastern end where it turns into the Lakeshore. Stay on the Lakeshore as it turns north and becomes Woodbine (past Ashbridges Bay in the Beaches). Follow it to Gerrard (4 traffic lights). And we are located on the Southern side of Gerrard just one building east of Woodbine.
Driving from the north? In the city you can take Laird across the DVP to O'Connor (or take the DVP to the Don Mills exit and go south to O'Connor). At O'Connor go east to Woodbine. Take Woodbine south to Gerrard. We are on the south east corner.
Driving from the east? Gerrard is one block south of the Danforth & 2 blocks north of Kingston road.
TRANSIT INSTRUCTIONS
For transit riders we are 4 blocks south of the Woodbine Subway station (5 min walk) or a short streetcar ride from the Main/Danforth GO station. We are also directly on the 506 HIGHPARK to MAIN STATION Streetcar line (get off at Woodbine).
All sales are final and no refunds will be issued. If you cancel within the cancellation policy detailed in the event description below, a credit will be issued for the full amount that can be applied towards a future event. If a trip is rescheduled due to unsatisfactory conditions, weather or double booking, a credit for the trip may be applied to any other trip for one calendar year.

Two Week Cancellation Policy. You must cancel two weeks (14 Days) prior to the event date. Meet Market Adventures will not be liable for lost or stolen articles during this tour or articles left after this tour. Any damage to the interior or exterior of equipment or venue which is caused by the individual signing up for this tour, is liable for the cost to repair any such damage as well as any cost for loss of the carriers service due to such damage. The driver and/or tour director has the right to eject any disruptive person who is abusive, poses a safety threat to other passengers, or any person who engages in the use of illegal substance. The act of signing up for this event makes the individual solely responsible for his/her safety while on the tour, at the completion of the tour and at all venues throughout this tour. In consideration of the right to participate in this event, the individual hereby assumes all risks, and will hold the owners operators, employees and agent of Meet Market Adventures Incorporated harmless from any and all liability, actions, debts, claims and demands of every kind and nature whatsoever. The terms hereof shall serve as a release and assumption of risk for my heirs, executors, and administrators for all members of my family including any friends accompanying me. The act of signing up for this event agrees that the individual, if intoxicated, will not operate a motorized vehicle after leaving the tour. The act of signing up for this event relieves Meet Market Adventures Incorporated, their employees, directors, vendors and contractors from any liability and responsibility for any claims for injuries, loss, damage, liability criminal or civil litigation for the individual arising out or relating to a tour.
