Join Meet Market Adventures & other active singles for a fun day of hiking in Up State New York. Enjoy the spectacular views as we hike Diamond Mountain.

We begin by hiking along the beautiful Stony Brook. Then a short but steep and rocky climb over Diamond Mountain for superb views of the countryside. Onward down to the shore of beautiful Pine Meadow Lake for lunch and a swim. We return alongside brooks and a wooden footbridge.

We will take a moderate 6 mile hike to a rocky mountaintop, then down to a beautiful lake where we will have lunch. The day concludes with a hike out to a high point and a great lookout. The price includes: round trip transportation, park admission, guides, prizes and taxes.

Moderate 6 mile hike, Harriman State Park, NY

BRING: Your lunch, plenty of water, backpack/day pack, swim suit and a towel.

Wear: Weather-appropriate athletic clothing (ski jacket or similar outer layer, warm layers (fleece, wicking layer, anything other than cotton), comfortable athletic pants (not jeans), hat, gloves, scarf, hiking boots (or athletic shoes). A base layer of long johns (poly or silk) is a good idea, as well as an extra pair of socks. As we may encounter wet or snowy trails, we strongly recommend HIKING BOOTS, or trail runners, not tennis shoes. Bring more warm layers than you think you need--it is always colder and windier in the mountains than in NYC.
