Join Meet Market Adventures and other big-hearted singles as we help out the Christmas Cheer Board. We’ll pick up hampers at the Cheer Board, and deliver wherever needed. It’s these last days before Christmas when the greatest need is there for volunteers to deliver hampers.

We'll meet at a local lounge, and quickly get into groups and head out to deliver.  We'll then head back at the same venue, and meet all the other good hearted Singles.

The Cheer Board was started in 1919 by a number of Winnipeg churches. The original intent was to provide Christmas Hampers and toys for the widows and orphans of the soldiers lost during World War One. Eventually they realized that many other families in the community also needed help at Christmas, and they formed one organization.  In past years, the Cheer Board has delivered as many as 20,109 hampers.

No charge for this event, but if anyone wants to donate money, we'll collect on your behalf and pass it on to the Cheer Board.  If you wish to do this, just call 663-6338.

More than half of all the food and toys are donated by individuals and companies, and the Cheer Board purchases anything else that's needed.
