Join David Allen, Meet Market Adventures and other single “photo buffs” as we explore High Park - one of Toronto’s parkland treasures, through the lens of our cameras. No matter the season, David Allen can be found in High Park, camera in hand capturing images for all to enjoy. This is no ordinary photography lesson; David’s passion for nature will inspire the hidden talent buried in all of us!

As we walk the trails of High Park, David will teach us not to be afraid to get down and dirty to get that perfect shot. He will share his experiences and take us to the most picturesque spots, so we can feel inspired by the fall colours and the ever-changing scenery that marks the approach of chillier weather, while we learn to take great nature photographs.

Whether you have a digital or manual camera David will teach us tricks that no photographer should be without such as lighting, shutter speeds, f-stops and most importantly composition. So regardless if you’re a seasoned photographer or just getting to know your camera, you will find this adventure informative, light hearted and a visual feast for the soul.

What to bring: Please dress for the weather as this is a rain or shine event. Wear comfortable shoes with sturdy soles and bring your camera of course!

We will meet at the benches directly south of Grenadier Cafe!

Enter the park from Bloor Street West and High Park Avenue
(one set of lights West of Keele), follow the road for a few
minutes and the cafe will be on your left (approx. a two minute drive) you
will come to a stop sign turn left onto Colborne Lodge Drive-then take an
immediate left into the parking lot.
