We will be led by experienced guides who will point out various plant and animal species indigenous to this area and we may even be fortunate enough to spot a Peregrine Falcon – so you will want to have your camera handy! Once we reach the top, we’ll break for lunch surrounded by the amazing views of the Howe Sound Sea-to-Sky corridor, the ocean-faced peninsula and the beauty of the majestic Squamish "Mother Wind" mountain range.
After drinking in these sights and sounds we will hike back down to our starting point and head to a nearby “watering hole” where we’ll congregate to share our thoughts, pictures and experiences from the day.
This is an intermediate to advance hike. The hike is consistently steep for 610 meters so you must be in good health to accomplish it. * Not dangerous, but it is high.
You will need:
* Small pack for layered clothing & food & water
* Light Rain gear (just in case)
* Hiking shoes with stable ankle support
* 1-2 liters of water
* Fruit, small lunch (nothing that will go bad with time in the heat)
* Small first aid kit if you have one
* Sunscreen/hat
* Hiking poles if you choose (really helpful downhill)
* Don't forget your camera for these awesome views!
* This is a rain or shine event but extreme weather conditions may cause cancellations.
* Carpooling is Available
DIRECTIONS TO STAWAMUS CHIEF PARK:
Take Highway 99 North from Vancouver towards Squamish. Watch for signs to Shannon Falls. (If you get to the town you've gone too far). The Chief Parking Lot is 1.5 klm past Shannon Falls Parking Lot on the right... There is a big Sign that says "Squamish..." once you turn into the lot go straight to the parking lot at the very top where the hike begins. We will meet by the picnic tables
* When you purchase an event online or over the phone, you will receive a confirmation by phone/email from MMA closer to the event.
* Details are subject to change without notice.

All sales are final and no refunds will be issued. If you cancel within the cancellation policy detailed in the event description below, a credit will be issued for the full amount that can be applied towards a future event. View the Meet Market Adventures Singles Event Policy.
