Join Meet Market Adventures and other Adventurous Singles as we scale new heights while learning to rock climb at Smoke Bluffs in Squamish.  If you've never tried climbing before but are curious about the sport, then this is the adventure for you! After being outfitted with harnesses and helmets, our highly trained certified guides will walk us through safety rules prior to our hands on lesson. We will learn about cliff safety, equipment use and care, basic knots, belay skills, climbing technique and rappelling. Then we’ll spend the afternoon practicing what we’ve learned as we climb Smoke Bluffs and develop a new found love for the popular sport of rock climbing.

Don’t forger your camera so you can photograph the surrounding countryside once you reach the top and of course have some pictures taken of your climbs to prove to your friends that you really were “that high up” on the rock face!


WHAT TO WEAR/BRING:

Dress for the weather, wear closed toe footwear such as hiking shoes or sturdy running/trail shoes, sunscreen, lunch, snacks and water and a small backpack to store your lunch and any extra clothes in.  Don’t forget your camera!

DRIVING DIRECTIONS:

Meet the guide at 12:30 pm at the parking lot of the Smoke Bluffs. From Vancouver (or Whistler) follow Highway 99 towards Squamish until you get to the traffic light at the intersection of Cleveland Avenue (beside McDonald's). From here, turn east (right turn) towards the Squamish adventure centre. Follow the blue signs with climbers on it, you will see the parking lot on your right hand side.
